Suspicious Incident - 07/26/22

On July 24, 2022, at approximately 9:30 AM the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a suspicious incident that took place in Sunny Valley. A female caller reported that while driving on Leland Road, she observed a vehicle following her and swerving. In an attempt to create space, the female caller sped up at which time the vehicle following her sped up as well. The suspect vehicle chased the female caller until she drove to a residence on Dog Creek Road and asked for help.
Two males associated with the vehicle were contacted by a neighbor who told them to leave the area which they did. The males are identified as both appearing Hispanic. One male was described as heavy set while the other was described as thin.
The suspect vehicle was a green Jeep SUV or a vehicle with similar appearance. The caller was able to identify a California license plate on the vehicle but was unable to obtain the license plate number.
Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area and were unable to find a vehicle matching the given description.
The Josephine County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind all citizens to remain vigilant and aware of their surroundings.
