Update To Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash 11/18/21 - 11/23/21

UPDATE FROM NOVEMBER 19, 2021 FLASH ALERT:

The deceased driver in this crash has been identified as 28-year-old male, DeSean Andrews Jr of San Diego, California.  Next of kin have been notified. 

 

ORIGINAL INCIDENT:

INCIDENT NUMBER:  21002554 

INCIDENT DATE AND TIME:     11/18/2021 at 9:13 PM    

REPORTING DEPUTY: Corporal Schreiber 

DETAILS:  

On Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 9:13 PM, Rural Metro, AMR and Deputies from the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle crash in the 400 Block of Lloyd Drive.  

The vehicle had one occupant who was the driver. The driver was reportedly pinned under the vehicle. Deputies and Rural Metro personnel removed the driver and began treating him. The driver was transported to Rogue Valley Medical Center in Medford, via ambulance in critical condition. The driver died shortly after arriving at the hospital. 

The name of the deceased subject will not be released at this time as next of kin has not yet been notified.
