Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash

INCIDENT DATE AND TIME: October 10, 2020 at 8:36 PM
REPORTING DEPUTY: Corporal Aaron Porter
DETAILS:
On October 10, 2020 at 8:36 PM, Deputies from the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 2400 block of Pleasant Valley Road for a single vehicle, rollover crash.
Upon investigation, Deputies found the driver, 30-year-old Luke Henry Pierce Jr. had been ejected and died at the scene. There were two additional passengers in the vehicle. One was pinned inside and had to be extricated by Rural Metro Fire. The other was able to climb out on their own.
The pinned passenger was transported by AMR to Three Rivers Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
Next of kin has been notified.
