New Slater Fire Evacuations - 09/13/20

We previously reported that the 6000 Block of Holland Loop was on a Level 3 "Go" evacuation status.  The 6000 Block of Holland Loop is only on a Level 2 "Be Set" evacuation status. 


Level 3 "Go": All residences on Beebee Drive, Kendall Lane, Browntown Road, Holland Corner Road and all of Althouse Creek Road.  The Holland Loop store may remain open but needs to be vigilant of fire activity.

Level 2 "Be Set": Cave Juncion has been upgraded from a Level 1, this includes northern Cave Junction boundary areas of Waldamar Road, Hanby Lane and connecting streets as part of the existing Level 2 zone for Cave Junction city limits.

Your Sheriff’s Office is working with fire personnel to continually assess fire growth and the need for further evacuations if necessary. If updates are available, they will be sent as soon as possible. 

The Josephine County Fairgrounds, 1451 Fairgrounds Road, Grants Pass, is a temporary evacuation point.

We ask that citizens who have been evacuated stay away from the area to allow fire crews to focus on monitoring the fire.  Additionally, due to the heavy smoke the visibility on the roads is low.  Please be cautious while driving in the smoke and use your headlights.
