Motorcycle Crash with Injury - 07/29/20

INCIDENT DATE AND TIME: 7/28/20 at 3:40pm

REPORTING DEPUTY: Lieutenant Ernie Fields

PERSONS INVOLVED: Dottie Greenlee - 33 years of age     Justyn Johnson - 35 years of age


On July 28th, 2020 the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a motorcycle vs car crash on Krauss Lane in Cave Junction Oregon.  Mercy Flights was activated by medical personnel on scene.  Greenlee was transported by AMR ambulance and Johnson was transported by Mercy Flights.     

Deputies arrived on scene and observed a black colored street bike approximately 150 feet off the roadway.  The initial investigation determined the motorcycle was the only vehicle involved in the crash and was occupied by Greenlee and Johnson.  Both females were wearing helmets. 

Inexperience of the rider may have contributed to the crash. The incident continues to be under investigation at this time. 

Both subjects remain in the hospital with serious injuries.
