Detectives Arrest Fourth Suspect in Home Invasion *UPDATE* (Photo) - 06/20/19

Update 6/20/19:

On the evening of June 19, 2019, the US Marshals Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force (PNVOTF) located Matthew Palomino in Medford. Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) detectives lodged Palomino in jail on the following charges related to the Dodge Road incident: first degree robbery, second degree robbery, aggravated first degree theft, first degree burglary, unlawful use of a weapon, menacing, and third degree assault. He was also lodged on a warrant from an unrelated case.

WHITE CITY, Ore. – Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) detectives have made three arrests in connection with a home invasion robbery that occurred in March. One suspect is still outstanding and detectives are asking for the public’s help to track him down.

On March 23, 2019, at approximately 2:12 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a robbery at a home in the 3200-block of Dodge Road. The site was previously the location of a marijuana growing operation. Deputies arrived on scene within minutes of the 911 call, but did not locate the suspects in the area.

Detectives were later able to identify four suspects involved in the robbery – two adults and two juveniles. Christian Ray Miller, 22, was arrested on June 5, 2019, when deputies served a search warrant at his home in the 9600-block of East Evans Creek Road.

Miller is currently held in the Jackson County jail on the following charges: first degree robbery (five counts); second degree robbery (two counts), aggravated first degree theft; first degree theft; first degree burglary; criminal impersonation of a peace officer (two counts); unlawful use of a weapon (two counts); menacing (two counts); conspiracy to commit first degree robbery (two counts); second degree assault (two counts); failure to report as a sex offender. Some of the charges against Miller are related to separate incidents that remain under investigation.

One juvenile male, 16, was referred to the Jackson County juvenile detention facility for charges of first degree robbery, second degree robbery, aggravated first degree theft, unlawful use of pepper spray, and third degree assault.

A second juvenile male, 17, was referred to the Jackson County juvenile detention facility for charges of second degree robbery and aggravated first degree theft.

Detectives identified the remaining adult suspect as Matthew Jay Palomino, 22, of Shady Cove. Palomino is described as a white male adult standing six feet, one inch tall, and weighing 300 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. Palomino has an unrelated misdemeanor warrant for his arrest.
