Hoodland Fire District Responds to a House Fire (25000 Block of E. Henry Creek Road) - 03/11/19 (Photo) - 03/11/19

This afternoon at 12:22 pm Hoodland Firefighters were called to the 25000 block of E Henry Creek Road, Rhododendron. The fire was in a U.S. Forest Service summer home.  The homeowner was at the residence with their dog and a cat when they discovered the fire.  The home owner and the pets were able to escape the fire and call 911.

Hoodland firefighters were hampered while responding by a snow covered road that was not plowed.  When they arrived, fire crews reported that the house was fully involved in fire and the roof had collapsed; firefighters worked on extinguishing the fire.  There were no injuries associated with the fire.  A fire investigator was called to determine the origin and cause of the fire. This release may be updated when the cause of this fire has been determined.

Hoodland Fire District was assisted by firefighters from Sandy Fire District, Clackamas County Fire District and the City of Gresham Fire Department.
