Brookwood Groundbreaking Ceremony -04/23/19

Existing Brookwood Elementary School to be replaced with new, two-story building to accommodate up to 600 students as enrollment grows in the area

April 23, 2019, Hillsboro, OR - Brookwood Elementary School is proud to announce the groundbreaking ceremony for its new school building on Monday, April 29, 2019, at 4 p.m.

Made possible by the passage of the District’s 2017 Bond, the updated campus will provide modern facilities that will serve the Brookwood community for decades to come. Along with the 73,728 square-foot replacement building, Brookwood will have a new parking lot; multi-purpose, synthetic turf field; and parent/bus dropoff areas. The new school will have capacity for up to 600 students, helping to address enrollment increases from the growing south Hillsboro area. The Brookwood architect, DLR Group, has produced a virtual tour of the new building at https://youtu.be/fZRmLQ48Uew. Additional information about the project is available at www.hsd.k12.or.us/brookwoodbond.
