$11.9 million in renovations to the nearly 100-year old building include new modular building, playground, elevator
February 6, 2019, Hillsboro, OR – Reedville Elementary School staff and students are pleased to announce the completion of their bond renovation projects and welcome community members to attend an open house on Thursday, Feb. 7, to celebrate with them and tour their enhanced learning environments.
Made possible by the passage of the District’s 2017 Bond, Reedville’s extensive renovations include seismic and security upgrades; HVAC upgrades and air conditioning; roof replacement; new flooring; a bathroom addition at the lower level; renovation of the old cafeteria space to a new media center and flexible classroom space; a new elevator between floors for ADA accessibility; a new parent/bus dropoff area; a new playground; new flexible classroom furniture and technology; removal of five portable classrooms; and construction of a new, permanent modular building containing five classrooms and a new cafeteria. Reedville has become a revitalized, but still historic, site through the bond-funded renovations.
Alumni, community members, and media are welcome and invited to attend the assembly and open house.
