D2 Educator and Students Represent Colorado in Crafting National AI Policy
Harrison School District 2 is proud to announce that Sierra High School Principal, Connor Beaudoin and Sierra High School, students Marissa Donjuan and Logan Arviso were selected to represent Colorado this month at the prestigious 2026 AASA Leadership and Innovation Fellowship and America's Youth AI Festival in the Boston area.
This event brought together 50 school leaders and 100 high school students from across all 50 states to explore the future of artificial intelligence in education.
During the three-day leadership residency, Principal Beaudoin had the chance to collaborate with educational leaders, researchers, and innovators to examine how artificial intelligence can be implemented responsibly and effectively in K-12 schools.
Meanwhile, Marissa Donjuan and Logan Arviso served as Student AI Senators at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute, where they debated and helped to develop a student-centered National AI Policy for K-12 public schools. The policy will be shared with AASA's network of more than 10,000 superintendents and school leaders nationwide.
