Hillsboro Police Arrest Suspect For Attempted Murder Related To An April 6, 2022, Hwy. 26 Shooting. (Photo) - 05/06/22

Hillsboro police detectives have arrested 32-year-old Carl Ryon Anthony Sehy for an incident on Hwy. 26 near NE Cornelius Pass Rd. on April 6, 2022, at about 6:10 pm.  On April 6, 2022, Mr. Sehy was driving his vehicle eastbound on Hwy. 26 near NE Cornelius Pass Rd. when he was involved in a confrontation with the victim's vehicle, which was also being driven eastbound on Hwy. 26.  During the confrontation with the victim's vehicle, Mr. Sehy fired multiple rounds into the victim's vehicle, which five people occupied.  None of the five victims were seriously injured. 

Mr. Sehy was able to flee the scene and wasn't located until today (May 6, 2022) at about 12:15 pm.  Mr. Sehy was lodged at the Washington County Jail on charges of attempted murder, unlawful use of a weapon, and felon in possession of a firearm. 

Mr. Sehy is a Portland resident and has prior felony convictions for robbery and kidnapping.  

Mr. Sehy will be arraigned and prosecuted by the Washington County District Attorney's Office. 

This case was an in-depth case involving the U.S. Marshals Service, the Washington County District Attorney's Office, Hillsboro Police Detectives, Hillsboro Police Patrol Division, and the Hillsboro Police Property and Evidence Unit.
