On 03-10-2018 at 11:22 p.m. the Hillsboro Police Department(HPD)responded to a Domestic Disturbance at 2086 SE 54th Ave in Hillsboro.
As officers approached the residence, they encountered a male adult armed with a shotgun. This person died at the scene. The deceased is identified as Daniel Stacey Reynolds, 20 years of age.
The officers involved in this incident were:
Officer Mike Abshier, 4 year veteran at HPD
Sergeant Stephen Beaver, 23 year veteran at HPD
Officer Justin Hubenette, 19 year veteran at HPD
Officer Michael Piper, 10 months at HPD
The Washington County Majors Crimes Team is leading this investigation. We will provide additional information once the investigation is closed.
