Roads Reopen Following Officer Involved Shooting, Bank Robbery Investigation - 01/05/22

Gresham, Ore. - Just after 1 p.m., on Wednesday, Jan. 5, roads in the area of NW Civic Drive and business access to the Gresham Station shopping center reopened. The area was closed for nearly 24 hours to perform a criminal investigation following an armed bank robbery and officer involved shooting. All TriMet service has been restored.

The Gresham Police Department and Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office recognizes the impacts transportation, access to homes and to businesses, and we sincerely appreciate the public’s patience. There is no threat to the public, and all previously closed areas are safe.

The East County Major Crime Team is still seeking witnesses. Anyone who may have witnessed the bank robbery, shooting or car crashes are asked to contact the MCT by calling Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office detectives at 503-988-0560 and referring to Gresham Police report number 22-00446.
