Targeted Enforcement of Illegal Fireworks - Update (Photo) - 07/09/19

GRESHAM, Ore. – The use of illegal fireworks was a target of the Gresham Police Department during this year’s Fourth of July celebrations. Gresham Police added six additional uniformed officers that specifically responded to firework related calls. Those officers responded to 44 calls and seized over 1000 illegal fireworks for destruction. 34 citations were issued during the mission. 17 for noise violations and 17 for possession and use of illegal fireworks.

The Gresham Police would like to thank those citizens who celebrated safely and within the parameters of Oregon State Law.
