Public Safety Lobby Hours to Change (Photo) - 03/28/20

Effective immediately, the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety is limiting access to the lobby of the newly opened Police Headquarters Building located at 726 NE 7th Street.  The lobby will be closed on weekends, however shall remain open from 9am – 4pm Monday through Friday.  Furthermore, access to the lobby will be limited to one (1) person at a time.

While the lobby is closed, Public Safety staff are available to ensure the most critical needs of the community are still being met.  You can always contact the police for non-emergent issues at 541-450-6260.  And for any documentation that needs to make its way to the department, you can always e-mail us at  records@grantspassoregon.gov

Sex offender registration can still be accomplished by calling the non-emergent number.  The lobby closure will have no effect on our ability to answer your emergency 911 calls, or our response to those calls by our Police Officers and Fire Fighters.  During this time of partial closure, we will not be processing Vehicle For Hire or Oregon Liquor Control Commission (OLCC) applications.  If you have property to be retrieved from the Police Department, you are asked to contact the non-emergent phone number previously provided.

As soon as we are able to, we will return to business as usual. Until then, please stay healthy and know the men and women of the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety are dedicated to the safety and health of our community.
