News Release
Shooting in Gladstone - 07/06/18

On July 5th at approximately 9:52 pm the Gladstone Police Department responded to a disturbance with shots fired at the Safeway in Gladstone.

Officers arrived on scene a short time later and found one victim with a small wound to the face. The victim was transported to OHSU with non-life threating minor injuries. It is unclear at this time if the victim was shot or assaulted during the disturbance. It is not known at this time if the victim and suspect(s) knew each other.  

A gun was found a short distance away from the scene of the disturbance.  A check of the area was conducted, but the suspect(s) were not located. The only description was of the shooter, and he was described as a skinny Hispanic male with short hair. There was a late 80’s early 90’s model possibly a Ford Taurus, green or greenish blue in color, seen leaving the area, but it is unknown if related.

This is an active investigation and no further information can be released at this time.
