Vegetation Fire - Interstate 5 -09/07/23

Grants Pass, Oregon 

 

At 11:52 PM Grants Pass Fire was dispatched to a report of vegetation fire on Interstate 5 at mile marker 58 southbound. Engines arrived to find ¼ acre burning slowly in grass and brush. Forward progress of the fire was stopped with no injuries or damage to structures. The fire is presumed to be human-caused with signs of transient activity in the area. Oregon State Police also responded to the incident.
