Vancouver, WA -- Friends of the Carpenter will host a Hats, Underwear, Gloves and Socks -- or H.U.G.S. -- party on Wed., Jan. 17, 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at their Friendship Center, 1600 W 20th Street.

In addition to handing out hats, underwear, gloves and socks, a full lunch, with dessert, will be served at 12:00 pm, along with games, prizes & giveaways. Hands of Favor will provide free haircuts from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Hands of Favor is an organization that offers free professional grooming services and outreach
support to homeless and at ­risk people of all ages, including the poor, children,

Friends of the Carpenter was incorporated in Vancouver, WA in Oct. 1998 and began as a vision of a practical outreach of simple welcome and personal interaction between volunteers from the church and people living in poverty.
