On April 20, 2021, at about 5:08am, Forest Grove Police Officers and Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash at Pacific Avenue and Highway 47, in Forest Grove.

When officers arrived they located a car and a motorcycle that had collided in the intersection. The motorcyclist was deceased shortly after emergency personnel arrived.

The preliminary investigation indicates that a motorist was southbound on Quince Street and was performing a left turn onto Pacific Avenue to go eastbound. As the driver turned left they collided with a motorcyclist traveling northbound on Highway 47.

The Washington County Crash Analysis and Reconstruction Team (C.A.R.T.) is assisting with the investigation which is ongoing. Drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the crash. The identity of the motorcyclist is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The Forest Grove Police Department encourages all motorists to be extra attentive for motorcyclists during the spring and summer seasons.
