Washington County Woman Pleads Guilty to Criminally Negligent Homicide (Photo) - 11/20/17

On November 17, 2017, Bethany Morgan Lumber, age 27, plead guilty to Criminally Negligent Homicide and Driving Under the Influence for the death of Forest Grove resident Jonathan Dominguez-Esquivel, age 22.

The plea agreement was the culmination of the investigation of an automobile vs. pedestrian crash that occurred on March 18, 2017 at about 1039pm. The crash occurred on Pacific Ave. near Highway 47 in Forest Grove.

Dominguez-Esquivel was walking west along Pacific Ave., while on his way to work, when he was struck by Lumber who was driving east on Pacific Ave. Dominguez-Esquivel was transported from the scene and later died at a local hospital. Lumber's blood alcohol content was .20% shortly after the crash, more than twice the legal limit.

Lumber was sentenced to 70 months in prison and a lifetime revocation of her driving privileges.

The Forest Grove Police was assisted by members of the Washington County Crash Analysis and Reconstruction Team, the Hillsboro Police Department, the Oregon State Police Forensics Laboratory and the Washington County District Attorney's Office.
