WASHINGTON – National Park Service Director Chuck Sams will hold a press conference on Thursday, March 17 as he wraps up a week-long trip to Oregon highlighting the Biden-Harris Administration’s investments in critical park infrastructure. This will be Sams’ first trip official trip to his home state of Oregon since being sworn in as the 19th NPS director in December.
What: Press conference, construction project tour, and photo opportunity.
Sams will highlight a $15-plus million project, funded by the Great American Outdoors Act. The project will preserve the park’s historic structures while upgrading them for expanded use and public enjoyment.
