Powerline Fire - Update 4 (Photo) - 09/11/20

Update #4 from Oregon Department of Forestry PIO

Powerline Mutual Aid Fire

Evening update 9/11/20

Working with support from local fire districts and contract crews and equipment, the Oregon Department of Forestry made good progress on the Powerline Fire today. Crews began the careful work of mopping up the fire, cooling hot spots to keep the fire within the current perimeter. Today’s work was one more step in the steady march towards full containment. The fire did not grow in size today and remains at an estimated 126 acres. No further fire growth is expected.

In addition to success on the fireline, we are happy to report that power has been restored to the impacted communities.
