Evergreen School Board newly elected members sworn in; elects officers for 2017-18 (Photo) - 12/13/17

Vancouver, WA: Clark County Auditor Greg Kimsey administered the oath of office to Julie Bocanegra and Ginny Gronwoldt at last night's Evergreen Public Schools Board meeting. Bocanegra is beginning her second full term as a District 1 school board director. Gronwoldt was elected to her first term as District 5 director.

District 4 director Todd Yuzuriha was then elected School Board President, moving from his position as Vice-President, and District 2 director Rob Perkins will move into the role of Vice-President for the 2017-18 school year. Yuzuriha joined the school board in June 2008, and Perkins in March 2014.

Julie Bocanegra will serve as the representative on legislative matters. School Board directors Victoria Bradford and Ginny Gronwoldt will serve as liaisons to other boards and committees.

Established in 1945, Evergreen Public Schools (Evergreen School District 114) is the fifth largest school district in the state of Washington. The district is home to 37 schools, serving the educational needs of nearly 27,000 students. With 3,200 employees, Evergreen Public Schools is the third largest employer in Southwest Washington.
