Early Morning Fire Damages Springfield Home (Photo)

Springfield, OR. Eugene Springfield Fire responded to a house fire in SE Springfield early Saturday morning. Fire crews were alerted to the fire just after 4 AM on August 8th. Callers were reporting fire coming from the back porch and extending above the roof of a home in the 3700 block of Jasper Rd.
Battalion 3 and Tower 3 arrived to find a large volume of fire from the home and threatening another home. Crews got to work searching the home to ensure everyone was out while simultaneously working to suppress the fire. Additional resources were requested to assist due to fire spreading through vegetation threatening the 2nd house.
The fire was contained to the primary residence with no other homes damaged. There were no injuries reported and the fire is under investigation.
