Shed Fire Damages Eugene Home (Photo)

Eugene, OR. Eugene Springfield Fire responded to a structure fire that damaged a home, shed and power pole late Friday night. Just after 11:30 PM on Jujly 31st ESF received multiple calls reporting fire in a detached shed extending to a house with an electrical transformer blown in the backyard in the 2100 block of Marlow Ln.
Ladder 6 from the Sheldon station responded as part of a full first alarm fire response. Ladder 6 quickly located the fire in the rear shed of the reported address that had extended to a second residential structure on Marlow Ln. Fire crews performed a primary search of both buildings, located fire, extinguished, then overhauled both of the structures. There were no injuries reported.
ESF Deputy Fire Marshals are on scene investigating the cause, and Red Cross is in contact with affected residents. In total, 4 engines, 1 ladder truck, 2 chiefs , an ambulance, Logistics Support, EMS supervisor, and two Deputy Fire Marshalls responded.
