Fire Crews Respond Contain Fire At Eugene Restaurant (Photo) - 10/05/25

Eugene, OR. Eugene Springfield Fire responded to a reported structure fire at Brails restaurant near downtown Eugene early Sunday morning.  Just before 4AM on October 5th, firefighters were dispatched to reports of a fire in the 1600 block of Willamette St.  Callers stated someone lit a dumpster on fire next to the building and the building was catching fire.  Engine 1 arrived about three and a half minutes after dispatch to find the dumpster had caught the building on fire. Thanks to a quick response, the fire was quickly contained to the exterior of the building. It took about an hour to fully extinguish and overhaul the fire.  ESF Fire Marshals are working with EPD on investigating the fire.
