Firefighters Quickly Contain Grass Fire In West Eugene (Photo) -07/07/24

Eugene, OR. Eugene Springfield Fire responded to a grass fire in west Eugene involving a fence and mowed field Sunday afternoon. Firefighters were notified of the fire at 2:49 PM on July 7th.  Fire engines from Bailey Hill and Danebo in West Eugene, along with a brush engine staffed due to the high heat, kept the fire from progressing into adjacent houses. The fire is under control, cause is under investigation.
