Fire Crews Respond to Fire Threatening Bring Recycling (Photo) - 07/06/24

Springfield, OR.  Eugene Springfield Fire is currently on scene of a large homeless encampment burning behind Bring Recycling along the railroad tracks.  Fire crews were called to a structure fire at Bring at 7:23 AM on July 6th located 4446 Franklin Blvd in Glenwood. Arriving firefighters found a large fire on the south side of the business immediately threatening structures.  Crews advanced hose lines to protect the business and extinguish the fire. An aerial ladder was deployed for quick reaction should the business have caught fire.  The fire is under control and firefighters will remain on scene performing overhaul for some time.  No injuries reported at this time.
