Crews Respond to Early Morning House Fire in Eugene (Photo) - 07/06/24

Eugene, OR. Eugene Springfield Fire responded to a house fire in North Eugene early Saturday morning. The fire was reported at 3:15 AM on July 6th for a fire at 3361 Antigua Dr. Fire crews were already on the road following a gas leak call when the house fire was reported. Ladder 6 from the Sheldon station arrived to find a large volume of fire on the front porch extending inside the home. Crews made a quick attack on the fire preventing further extension to the home. Residents were alerted to the fire by a smoke detector and safely evacuated through the back of the home uninjured. The cause is under investigation. 

It was a busy last 12 hours of a busy 48 hour tour for ESF B-shift crews with, 4-cardiac arrests, 3- brush fires, 4- gas leak calls, a motor vehicle crash and a house fire amongst many other regular calls for service.
