Springfield, OR.  Eugene Springfield Fire responded to a house fire at 922 Centennial Blvd in Springfield Wednesday morning.  Firefighters were alerted to smoke from the house, possible the kitchen area at 11:39 AM on June 5^th.  The first Firefighters arrived 3 minutes later from Station 4 on 5^th St and found smoke and flames above the roof line.  Crews made an interior fire attack while searching the residence for victims.  The truck company needed to open the roof to release hot gasses and smoke so interior crews could complete their work.  The fire was located in a back corner of the home and extended to the attic.  There were no reported injuries, one person has been displaced and the cause is under investigation.
