Together Toward Tomorrow: Migrant Parent And Student Conference (Photo) - 02/16/24

PASCO, WA – The annual Together Toward Tomorrow conference for parents and students eligible for the Migrant Education Program will be held Friday, February 23, from 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM at the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick. Hosted by the Educational Service District (ESD) 123 Migrant Education Program, this conference offers sessions from national and local presenters on a wide variety of topics related to academic and personal success for migrant students in high school and their families.

Together Toward Tomorrow is a chance to empower parents and inspire students for a brighter future, featuring 24 sessions tailored for migrant students and/or parents. Families will find information and resources related to post-secondary opportunities, farmworker rights, advocating for students, incorporating learning at home, physical and mental health support, and more.

More than 450 students and parents from across the region and state are expected to attend the conference, including from the following school districts:

  • College Place
  • Finley
  • Grandview
  • Kennewick
  • Kiona-Benton City
  • Mabton
  • Moses Lake
  • Mount Vernon
  • North Franklin
  • Othello
  • Pasco
  • Prosser
  • Quincy
  • Richland
  • Sunnyside
  • Toppenish
  • Vancouver Public Schools
  • Wapato
  • Warden
  • Yakima

Registration for the conference has ended. Doors will open at 8:00 AM for breakfast and a resource fair on February 23, with presentations beginning at 9:00 AM. Learn more at www.esd123.org/classes/mepconference
