KENNEWICK, WA – TC Futures is honored to receive a $10,000 grant from the Community Health Plan of Washington (CHPW) Advancing Equity Fund. TC Futures is one of 25 organizations across Washington state to receive this grant. The money will be used toward actively pursuing opportunities to reach youth in underserved populations who could benefit from TC Futures’ services.
CHPW’s Advancing Equity grant program is dedicated to supporting organizations that advance health equity. TC Futures is a center for youth and young adults (ages 16-24) to work on finishing their education and/or connecting with incredible employment opportunities. TC Futures has partnered with CHPW in the past to provide services to populations who are less likely to receive health care services, including connecting youth whom the center serves with CHPW resources to help them find primary care providers, and by providing cell phones or transportation so they can make and attend appointments.
“We have a unique relationship working together to make sure any person walking through our doors has access to health care or to talk to someone about health care,” says TC Futures Director Melanie Olson.
TC Futures is run in partnership by Educational Service District 123 (ESD 123) and the Benton-Franklin Workforce Development Council (BFWDC).
