2019 Celebrate K! Conference (Photo) -06/18/19
PASCO, WA – Kindergarten and preschool educators are invited to spend up to three days this summer celebrating early education at the annual Celebrate K! Conference on July 16-18 at Educational Service District 123 in Pasco. With the statewide Starting Strong P-3rd Grade Institute not being held this year, Celebrate K! is a regional alternative to learn about various early learning subjects and to build connections in the early learning community.
Participants can choose from a variety of sessions covering topics ranging from social emotional learning, literacy, STEM, developmentally appropriate practices, and more. Sessions are led by practicing kindergarten teachers and ESD 123 staff to deliver practical and relevant content. This annual conference continues to grow each year, with over a hundred participants attending in 2018 to engage in sessions and connect with other educators.
“It’s a fun event for participants,” says Alex Cann, ESD 123 Teaching & Learning Assistant. “It’s less about just going to another conference; it’s about a celebration.”
Kindergarten and pre-K educators are encouraged to register now for the full conference or individual days at www.esd123.org/learn. The registration deadline is July 8. For more information on the conference, contact Molly Curtiss, ESD 123 Director of Communications, at mcurtiss@esd123.org or 509.544.5787.
