CAMAS, WA – Following a periodic review of the East County Fire and Rescue’s bond rating, S&P Global upgraded the district’s bond rating to AA-.
The district’s bond rating provides a transparent, forward-looking third-party assessment of credit worthiness that is standardized for consistency. S&P Global’ s bond ratings range from D which indicates default on a credit obligation to AAA which indicates an investment grade rating reflecting an extremely strong capacity to meet financial commitments. East County Fire and Rescue’s rating increased one grade from A+ to AA- based on sound financial management and adoption of comprehensive financial policies. While the district’s bond rating was upgraded, the district has no near-term plans to incur debt by issuing bonds.

We are a combination full-time, part-time and volunteer department covering an average of 1,100 calls a year on both sides of the Washougal River. ECFR operates under a balanced budget.
