Douglas County Senior Dining Site in Glide Will Be Closed Today For Meal Pick Up
(Douglas County, OR) Due to the wildfires and evacuations in the Glide area, the Douglas County Board of Commissioners in conjunction with Douglas County Senior Services has closed the Glide Senior Dining Site for hot meal pick on Thursday, September 10, 2020. However, the rest of the Douglas County’s Senior Dining Sites are available for hot meal pick up. Due to COVID-19 all sites are pick up only, via their Curb Service format. All seniors 60 and up and their spouses are welcome. Hot meals are available Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 11:30 am to 12:15 pm. Click here to see the menu.

Glendale - Special People's Depot - 176 Glendale Town Rd, Glendale, OR
Reedsport - Lower Umpqua Senior Center, 460 Winchester Ave., Reedsport, OR
Riddle - Riddle Community Center - 123 Parkside St., Riddle, OR
Sutherlin - Sutherlin Senior Center - 202 E Central Ave., Sutherlin, OR
Winston - Winston Community Center - 440 SE Grape Ave., Winston, OR
Yoncalla - Yoncalla Community Center - 440 Main Street, Yoncalla, OR
Also, The Friendly Kitchen has pick-up lunch available for seniors at 1771 W Harvard Avenue in Roseburg. Call (541) 673-5929 for more information available days and times for meal pick up.
If you are unable to reach the dining sites, please contact Douglas County Senior Services for assistance for additional resources. If you are able and available to volunteer at our dining sites, please contact Douglas County Senior Services. They can be reached at (541) 440-3677.
We are thankful for all the volunteers that are able to make it to the dining sites. However, we are in desperate need of more volunteers to help prepare and serve meals at all of our dining sites, as well as, deliver meals to homebound seniors. Our Meals on Wheels volunteer drivers are doing their best to reach homebound seniors, via roads and driveways that are accessible.
