On August 2, 2023, at 12:50 pm, the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a head on motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Burgess Road and Old Stage Road in La Pine.
During the course of the investigation, it was determined the black Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling westbound on Burgess Road when the Ford Edge, which was traveling eastbound, crossed over the center line striking the Tahoe head on.
The driver of Ford Edge was transported to Station 1 in La Pine where she was air transported with serious injuries to St. Charles in Bend.
The driver of Tahoe and passenger were both separately transported by ground ambulance to St. Charles Bend with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is on-going, and more information may be released if/when it becomes available.
