On July 29, 2021 at approximately 7:00 AM, Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office detectives and members of SWAT served a search warrant in the 2800 block of SW Indian Place in Redmond.

The Sheriff’s Office obtained evidence linking Darry Larsen to recent mail theft and other financial crimes. Larsen also had active warrants for his arrest.  Deputies applied for and were granted a search warrant for Larsen and his residence.

The DCSO SWAT team was used to execute the search warrant based on the amount of persons known to occupy the residence as well as the history of some of the occupants. Multiple subjects were contacted and detained during the search warrant without incident.

During the warrant, a rifle was found and determined to be in the possession of Brandon Arnett. Arnett is a convicted felon and not allowed to possess firearms. He was later transported to the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office Jail and lodged on the above mentioned charges.

Further evidence of mail theft and various financial crimes was located within the residence.  A handgun was also located and determined to belong to Larsen.

Larsen was later transported to the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office Jail and lodged on the above mentioned charges.

This investigation is still ongoing and the Sheriff’s Office anticipates further charges.
