News Release
Skyliners thefts leads to arrest - 02/08/19

Location: Skyliners Road/ Forest Service Road 4606                      

 

Arrested: Watson, Thomas J (23 years of age) Bend, Oregon

 

Passenger: Harrington, Christian (26 years of age) Bend, Oregon

NARRATIVE:

 

On 02/07/19, at approximately 0940 hours, deputies with the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office, responded to the report of a vehicle that had been broken into in the area of Skyliners Road. While investigating, 911 dispatch received a call of a single vehicle roll over crash on Skyliners Road near Forest Service Road 4606.

 

Deputies responded to the crash and found that Watson and his passenger, Harrington, had left the scene. Deputies located them in the area and Watson was found to be in possession of stolen property from the car break-ins.  Watson was also found to be in possession of user quantities of heroin.  Harrington was released from the scene.

 

The vehicle was towed from the scene and Watson was arrested and booked into the Deschutes County Jail for the following crimes:

 

Unlawful entry into a motor Vehicle (7 counts)

Theft in the Second Degree

Unlawful Possession of Heroin

Probation Violation

 

It is unknown if there are other victims in the area and the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office asks if you report any other car break-ins to dispatch at, 541-693-6911.
