NARRATIVE:
Deputies and Bend Fire responded to the crash around 1:16pm on Deschutes Market Rd. near the intersection at Garcia Rd.
An investigation determined that Barry O’Mahony of Bend was driving a green 1997 Land Rover Discovery SUV, heading north on Deschutes Market Rd, when he stopped and waited to turn left into a driveway on Deschutes Market Rd.
That’s when O’Mahony’s SUV was hit in the rear by a 2005 Ford F550 tow truck being driven by Brittany Anaya, also of Bend, and owned by Epic Towing.
The impact of the rear-end collision sent O’Mahony’s SUV into the oncoming lane and the path of a southbound gray 2013 Toyota Highlander SUV driven by Nicole Bacon, of Redmond.
All three drivers were transported via ground ambulance to SCMC, Bend with non-life threatening injuries. Bacon’s passengers were not injured in the crash.
