Engraving Day Held At Oregon's Fallen Law Enforcement Officers Memorial (Photo) -04/11/23

Honor Guard was present to stand watch during an engraving ceremony at DPSST on Monday, April 10, 2023 as one fallen officers name was added to the Oregon Fallen Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Wall.  This tradition was started a few years ago to honor the Fallen who are being added to the Wall each year prior to the Memorial Ceremony at DPSST. On this day the name of Brian J. Gaunt of the Beaverton Police Department, EOW 10/24/21 was added. Two Honor Guard members from Sgt. Gaunt’s agency stood watch as their agencies fallen officer’s name was carefully etched into the State's memorial.

The name of the fallen officer was approved by the Board on Public Safety Standards and Training for addition to the state memorial. The memorial honors all of the state's fallen city, county, state, tribal and federal officers. The Wall now includes the names of 193 Fallen Oregon Law Enforcement Officers dating back to the 1860’s.

All of these individuals will be honored at the annual Oregon Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony, to be held May 2nd at 1PM.
