New Oregon Department Of Human Services Astoria Office For Child Welfare And Self-Sufficiency Programs Opens Dec. 28, 2023 - 12/22/23
(Salem, Or.)- Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) is excited to announce a new, temporary ODHS office, located at 422 Gateway Ave., Suite 200, in Astoria, will open its doors on Dec. 28, 2023. Hours at this location are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
People who need services from our Child Welfare (CW) and Self-Sufficiency Programs (SSP) can visit this location beginning Dec. 28. In partnership with NW Connector, the public bus has been rerouted to be closer to this new building (Gateway Ave. between Portway St. and Hamburg St.) increasing access for those working with ODHS. That new bus stop will begin operating Dec. 22, 2023.
ODHS plans to be at this location for the next nine months and is currently working on securing permanent locations to best meet the needs of the North Coast community.
People who need in-person services from our Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) program ─ including people who don’t have appointments ─ should visit us at the Clatsop Behavioral Healthcare offices located at 65 North Hwy 101, Suite 204, in Warrenton. Hours at this location are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
