Update #3 - Homicide Investigation - 11/08/17

***UPDATE #3 - 11/08/2017 14:45***

The Douglas County Medical Examiner's Office and Members of the Douglas County Major Crimes Team have identified the victims of Tuesday's homicide.

The victims are:

Donya Renee Adams, age 55 of Roseburg.

Amory Rose Adams, age 26 of Roseburg.

Payshience "Tia" Adams, age 10 of Roseburg.

All of the victims of this crime were residents in the home. The 16 year-old suspect, Kevin Wayne Adams, also lived in the family home.

Robert Adams called 9-1-1 on Tuesday evening at 8:43 pm to report he had returned home and discovered that his wife, Donya, his daughter, Amory, and his foster-daughter Payshience Adams had been the victims of homicide.

Kevin Adams, Robert's foster-son, was ultimately arrested for three counts of Aggravated Murder.

Members of the Douglas County Major Crimes Team continue their investigation.

No further updates will be issued today. This press release is in place of the 5:00 pm, expected release.

***UPDATE #2 - 11/08/17 10:00 AM***

Detectives have arrested the person responsible for the homicide of the three individuals in the 400-block of Whispering Pines Way in Roseburg.

Kevin Wayne Adams, age 16 of Roseburg, has been arrested and charged with three counts of Aggravated Murder. He is currently lodged in the Douglas County Juvenile Detention Facility.

The Douglas County Major Crimes Team continues to investigate the incident. At this time the victims' names, ages and addresses are being withheld until the Douglas County Medical Examiner's Office makes positive identification and appropriate next of kin notifications.

Next written press release will be at 5:00 pm.

The Douglas County Major Crimes Team has been activated and is currently on scene. Deputies have located three victims at the scene. The circumstances of the incident are the current focus of the investigation.

The Douglas County Major Crimes Team consists of detectives and investigators from the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, Roseburg Police Department, Oregon State Police and Douglas County District Attorney's Office.

No further details will be released tonight. An update is expected by Wednesday, November 08, 2017 at 10:00 am.

On Tuesday, November 07, 2017 at 8:43 pm, the Douglas County 9-1-1 center received a report of a homicide that occurred in the 400-block of Whispering Pines Way in Roseburg.

Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to the residence and are currently conducting an investigation.

At this time no additional details are available. Members of the media and public are asked to avoid the area.

There is no current risk to the public.
