Early Morning RV Fire Under Investigation (Photo) -09/16/21

Kelso, WA- Firefighters from Cowlitz 2 Fire & Rescue and Cowlitz Fire District 6 (Castle Rock) responded to an RV fire at 1512 West Side Hwy just after 2:30 am.  Fire crews reported a 5th wheel and a passenger truck fully involved when they arrived on scene.  Firefighters knocked the fire down in under 15 minutes from arrival.  One adult female perished in the fire; the identity of the woman has not been released by authorities.  Three engines and three Chief Officers responded to the incident.  Cowlitz County Public Utilities District and Cowlitz County Sheriff Deputies also responded to the incident.  Fire authorities consider the RV and the truck a total loss.  The cause of the incident is under investigation in coordination with Cowlitz County Sheriff's office.
