Fire Crews Respond To Commercial Fire (Photo) -08/12/21

Kelso, WA- Firefighters from multiple agencies responded to a commercial fire at 409 West Main Street (Twin City Dental) Wednesday night just before 8 pm.  Initial callers reported smoke and flames seen from the side and roof of the building.  Fire crews arrived minutes later, attacked the fire, and confirmed nobody was inside. The fire was completely extinguished at 11:27 pm.  Six fire engines, two Ladder Trucks, a medic unit from American Medical Response (AMR), and four Chief Officers responded to the incident.  Fire crews from Cowlitz 2 Fire & Rescue and City of Longview Fire Department, and Cowlitz County Fire Districts 5 and 6.  Kelso police, Cowlitz County Public Utility District, and Cascade Natural Gas Company also responded to the incident.  Fire officials estimate $300,000 in damages to the building and its contents.  No injuries were reported; the cause of the fire is under investigation.
