Kelso, WA- Firefighters from Cowlitz 2 Fire & Rescue and Longview Fire responded to a structure fire in the 900 block of South Pacific Ave Sunday morning just before 5am. Firefighters reported smoke and flames showing at a front corner of the exterior of the multi-family triplex on their arrival. Kelso police were first on scene and confirmed all residents were out. Firefighters had the fire knocked down in five minutes after they arrived on scene. Three engines, a medic unit, and a chief officer responded to the call. PUD also responded. The Red Cross are assisting the displaced family of three with shelter and other resources. The cause of the fire is under investigation in conjunction with Kelso police. Damage to the home and contents are estimated at $5,300, according to fire officials. No injuries were reported.
