Council for the Homeless Celebrates 37 Years at Gathering for Change & Begins a New Chapter for the Agency by Revealing its New Name

VANCOUVER, Wash. (Oct. 6, 2026)— Gathering for Change, Council for the Homeless’ annual fundraiser, brings together community members, partners, supporters, civic leaders, and advocates for an evening of storytelling, community impact, and kicking off the start of a brand-new chapter. “Honoring the Past. Embracing the Future,” is the theme of the evening, which celebrates 37 years of dedicated service and impact by the lead agency in the Homeless Response System for Clark County. Co-presented by Access Architecture and Walsh Construction, the evening champions the agency’s collaborative spirit toward collective action.

For the first time, CEO Sesany Fennie-Jones will publicly announce the new name of the organization and reveal its new brand identity before a live audience.

“Gathering for Change is an opportunity to celebrate the legacy of Council for the Homeless and look ahead to the future with hope and purpose,” states Fennie-Jones. “Our work is not changing. Our commitment to this community is not changing. In fact, we are more dedicated than ever, and look forward to stepping into a new chapter that reflects who we are today and where we are headed.”

Since 1989, Council for the Homeless has served Clark County, working alongside dozens of community partners toward creating and delivering sustainable solutions to housing instability and homelessness.
