Corbett Fire Receives First Three 15,000-Gallon Water Cisterns
Today is a big day for the Corbett community. Corbett Fire is excited to announce the acquisition of its first three 15,000-gallon water cisterns, a significant investment in improving fire protection for our rural areas.
Two cisterns will be installed in the Aims area, with the third located along Larch Mountain Road. These locations are outside the Corbett Water District service area, where fire hydrants are not available.
The new cisterns will provide firefighters with quick access to a dependable water supply, reducing the time needed to establish water operations during structure fires and wildland fires. This will improve our ability to protect lives, homes, and property in some of the community’s most vulnerable areas.
Installation is expected to take place this fall. Corbett Fire appreciates the continued support of our community as we work to strengthen emergency response capabilities and enhance public safety.
