ID Of Body Found On Neer City Rd (Photo)

The Columbia County Sheriff's Office has identified the body found on Neer City Rd as 18 year old Sarah Elizabeth Zuber of Rainier. Investigators from the Columbia County Sheriff's Office, Oregon State Police, St. Helens Police Department and the Scappoose Police Department are continuing the investigation. We will continue to release updates as they are available.
***Updated Information***
On 3/13/2019 at about noon the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of a woman’s body discovered on the roadside outside of Rainier. Deputies responded and met with fire medics at the scene. Found deceased at that location was eighteen-year-old Sarah Elizabeth Zuber of Rainier. The cause of death is still under investigation.
The incident resulting in the death of the victim is believed to have occurred in the area of the intersection of Neer City Road and Nick Thomas Road in the Rainier area. Investigators believe the incident occurred during the late night hours of Tuesday, March 12th and the early morning hours of Wednesday, March 13th, 2019.
The assistance of the public is requested in helping determine what happened to Sarah Zuber.
