Clarkston, WA – To help more students access computer science, especially students from underserved communities, Code.org, in partnership with DonorsChoose, has selected 102 schools around the country to be awarded the CS Leaders Prize of $10,000 to help establish computer science education for their students. We are thrilled to announce Clarkston High School is one of Code.org’s CS Leader Prize Winners.

Clarkston High School invites you to attend their presentation at the Hour of Code event taking place on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m., where they will be celebrating this $10,000 prize and showcasing what students are learning in computer science!

LOCATION:
Clarkston High School T-Building Room 605
401Chestnut Street
Clarkston, WA  99403

Why is it important for students to learn computer science?

We believe computer science is foundational to other educational pursuits, like reading, writing, or math. It exercises logic and problem-solving, stimulates the imagination, and inspires students to create. Plus, computing occupations are some of the fastest-growing, best-paying, and now the number one source of new wages in the U.S.
