Clarkston, WA - Clarkston High School's DECA Chapter is sponsoring the 38th annual DECA Takeover at Gateway Square on Friday, May 18th from 8:00 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Students will train for nine days prior to the takeover day and learn aspects of the position they’re assigned. This year's DECA Takeover involves 127 students divided among eight area businesses including: Albertsons, Starbucks, McDonald's, Taco Time, Gateway Golf, Tender Care Children’s Center, Orange Hippo Bakery and Kenzie’s Koffee’s two locations. In addition to area businesses, DECA students are also completing job shadow experiences in the health, education, manufacturing, and financial industries.
DECA is an association of marketing students, an international organization that allows students to learn about all the different aspects of marketing and business. The DECA Takeover day is a great experience for employees and students alike. Albertson’s will run in-store special sales in each of its departments.
